Social Equity: The Currency That Outweighs Money
Let end Friday with a great bit of Advice!!!!!!
In today’s world, money often sits on the throne of value. We chase it, we save it, we stress over it. But what if I told you there's a currency far more valuable than dollar bills or bank accounts? It’s called social equity—and it's the wealth we build through relationships, trust, credibility, and service to our communities.
As someone who has worked with families in crisis, walked with women navigating motherhood and entrepreneurship, and built consulting businesses that serve others with heart, I can say this with confidence: social equity opens doors that money simply cannot.

What Is Social Equity?
Social equity isn’t about status or popularity. It’s about trust, shared values, and mutual respect. It’s the spiritual and emotional capital we build when we show up for others, when we listen without judgment, when we serve with integrity, and when we stand up for what’s right—even when no one’s watching.
Social equity is built when:
A client refers you not because of your price, but because of your character.
A community invites you in because you’ve shown up consistently—not just when you needed something.
A partner collaborates with you not for profit, but because they believe in your mission.
Why Is It More Valuable Than Money?
It Builds Longevity.Money can create a moment, but social equity builds a movement. You can spend money once—but trust and impact can ripple through generations.
It Opens Hearts, Not Just Wallets.People remember how you made them feel. Relationships formed from authenticity bring emotional and spiritual returns that money cannot buy.
It Grows Even When You’re Not Looking. While financial investments may fluctuate, the seeds of kindness, wisdom, and advocacy grow quietly, creating opportunities and goodwill long after the moment has passed.
It Attracts Resources.Ironically, when you lead with social equity—when you show up with heart, humility, and humanity—money often follows. People invest in people, not just in business plans.
It Aligns With Divine Purpose.Yahweh calls us to be stewards of His people and creation. Social equity is the manifestation of that calling. When we value people over profit, we reflect the heart of God.
Real Talk: You Can’t Buy Community
I’ve sat at tables where people had millions in the bank but were bankrupt in support, peace, and purpose. I’ve also witnessed individuals with humble beginnings, limited finances, and heavy burdens rise up—because their reputation, relationships, and righteousness carried them forward.
Social equity is what allowed widows to be sustained by their neighbors. It’s what rebuilt families after storms, both natural and spiritual. It’s what holds communities together when systems fail. It’s what has kept me, and many of you, from falling apart.
Final Thought: Invest Where It Truly Matters
As you build your business, your brand, and your legacy—don’t just chase the bag. Chase impact. Chase truth. Chase divine alignment. Money can buy a seat at the table, but social equity builds the table.
So today, I encourage you to ask:
Who can I serve?
Who can I support without expecting anything in return?
How can I invest in the kind of wealth that won’t rust, fade, or be forgotten?
Because when the money runs low, and the world grows cold, it’s the wealth of our relationships, our values, and our character that will warm us—and lead us home.
